Another postcard image, and as usual, difficult to pick out details. I had a hunch that this one was either German or possibly Austrian due to the number of white scarves being worn by the congregation. The former hunch proved to be correct!
This is the Petrikirche (St. Peter’s church) in Freiburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany....the organ was designed by Gottfried Silbermann. It was restored, along with the fabric of the church, in the 1960's. The image was probably taken during WWI, as the cherubim seen adorning the bottom of the organ settlement, were removed just after 1918.
