At first I thought it might be a brother or relative, but no other photos of the individual were with the documents. And I could find no records of an air cadet with the surname of the unmarried woman. It was a long and involved search, but it finally bore fruit when I was looking at a website of RAF pilots for WWII, and saw a tiny photo of a named pilot. The rest of the story was dramatic and tragic, and did not end in the War. If you would like to know more then go to the website Dunkirk1940.org, and they will be revealing some documents, some photos and the story.
